News Round Up

A few minor news updates for you. We’ve been busy with the new Radchada Garden Café so our time for writing news articles is a little limited.

Tonight is the monthly quiz night at Garden Bar, starts at 8p.m. prompt. Khun Mo is back from his holidays and seems to be lots of people in town now so it should be a fun night.

In Santitham Plaza, the big Thai entertainment complex popular with students, LaLa bar has been sold (now called Face Bar). Doesn’t seem particularly gay anymore. That said, the bar scene here has been very busy recently and plenty of gay students around, even though the bars are ostensibly straight. Chaophraya bar next door, with live reggae ska music is still great fun, though not at all gay.

Radchada Garden Café will have reduced opening hours over the next two days due to university graduation ceremonies. Our congratulations to Khun Mai for his degree. Opening hours: Tomorrow (Thursday 24 November) 11:30 a.m. – 2:45 P.m. Friday open late at 11:30 a.m. but close as normal at 7 p.m. or later if enough people want to drink beer 🙂 Normal service resumed from Saturday.

Radchada Garden Café is currently adding fresh home made Pizza to the menu and the boys are trying various flavours, if you pop in over the next couple of days you may get a free taster!

In a few days Pee Mai Tai or Shan new Year will be upon us with celebrations at Wat ku Tao. A great festival, though a bad time to visit the go-go bars as the boys will be out partying. We hope to provide more details of the festivities tomorrow.
