Police are treating as suicide the death of an American man found in a condo room in Chiang Mai. His body was found by condo staff who entered the room after he hadn’t been seen for a couple of days. He apparently died from an overdose of sleeping tablets.
Although inquiries are continuing, he left several suicide notes and his possessions were all neatly packaged together with money for Police to return them to relatives, giving a strong indication there was no foul play, and no connection with a spate of deaths of foreigners in Chiang Mai earlier this year.
Wade Morgan (Randolph Wade Morgan) was sixty five years old and had been staying in the room on Chiang Mai’s moat, near Hauy Kaew Road for three months. Neighbours told Police he frequently came home with good looking young Thai men and a photograph of a cute Thai guy was found in the room.
