Last night saw the opening of the handmade chiangmai project at OP Place on Chang Klan road (part of le Meridien hotel complex). handmade chiangmai is a new partnership initiative of the British Council Thailand, in support of the Chiang Mai Creative City initiative, with Chiang Mai University CAMT, TDCI and Nohmex. The project uses Digital crafts to showcase some of Chiang Mai’s exquisite handicrafts and traditional creative industries.
Centerpiece of the project is a website providing a platform to disseminate information and promote crafts industries in Northern Thailand.

We understand the website was designed for Chiang Mai university by some of our friends at Bon Tong Productions. As well as specialising in websites for the gay community and LGBT businesses Bon Tong productions has a sister business which develops commercial websites and internet marketing solutions for clients worldwide.
