February ends with parties

Lot’s happening in Gay Chiang Mai on Feb 27th

The end of cool season

Approaching the end of February we are also nearing the end of Chiang Mai’s fabulous cool season. Although night time temperatures are still quite pleasant, and refreshing sleep still possible without air-con, the end is nigh. Day time temperatures are rising and by mid morning it is already quite hot with the mercury reaching the mid thirties in the afternoon.

Fortunately, the drop in air-quality that accompanies the start of hot season has not been too bad so far, despite the massive influx of extra traffic to the city over Chinese New Year. With luck Chiang Mai will enjoy another couple of weeks of good weather before the heat really bites.
