Radchada Garden Cafe – Updates

Radchada Garden Cafe has told us about a new update to the menu. They are now serving Burgers, with a variety of toppings.

Their delicious freshly cooked burgers are served with french fries and extra toppings such as cheese, egg or Bacon.

Radchada Garden Café is situated in a beautiful Lanna style teak wood mansion, within tranquil surroundings and a beautiful garden in the Santitham area of Chiang Mai, close to where many gay venues are located. Open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. the menu includes Cafe favourites: Breakfasts, Light meals, pasta dishes, sandwiches, drinks and great coffee. Their big specialty is Pizza – 12″ Italian style baked to order in a sizzling hot oven. The friendly young guys who work there always provide service with a smile too.

From 5p.m until 7p.m Radchada Garden Café has it’s cocktail hours. As the sun sets this is a great place to appreciate a relaxing pre-dinner aperitif from their selection of favourite cocktails including great Martinis and Margaritas. Their extra special at the moment is Gin Tonic, whilst many Chiang Mai bars are suffering from a tonic drought, following last year’s flooding in Bangkok, Radchada Garden Café still has limited stocks available. Get along and enjoy a Gin whilst it lasts!

With so many events going on and choices of where to go for Valentines day the Sabaidee Santitham Restaurant and Pub is jumping the gun and invites everyone to join them for a Pre-Valentine’s Dinner and Jazz Show on Monday, February 13, 2012. The event kicks of at 8.00 p.m. and will feature the sensuous sounds of the Northgate Jazz Trio plus One, with Khun Por on the Tenor Sax …the best sax player in Thailand!!!

Radchada Garden Café has announced its next development, with the introduction of a Cocktail Hour. Now you can come and enjoy a range of cocktails, drinks and pre-dinner aperitifs at the Radchada Garden Café bar which is set in a beautiful garden setting.

“Coktail hour” is actually two hours and runs from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Snacks, light meals, and Pizzas are also available along with beer, wines and coffees. Cocktails include all the usual favourites with a great selection of Margaritas and Martinis. The Radchada bar is located in a striking, original Lanna Style teak wood mansion surrounded by lush tropical gardens and water features. It is the ideal place to relax at the end of a busy day and enjoy country style tranquillity right in the city center.

The boys next door at Radchada Garden Café told us today they’ve added a few new things to the menu and now look forward to welcoming you all for BREAKFAST. Actually, not just at breakfast time but anytime as it’s available all day. There’s the full English, continental and other options like scrambled egg on toast along with great tasting coffee or tea.

Twelve inch thin crust style pizza is cooked to order in a sizzling hot flame powered Pizza Oven. Pizzas are available with a variety of toppings including the delicious “Radchada Pizza”. For those not so hungry Pizza is also available by the slice.

As well as Coffee and soft drinks a selection of beers and wines are available to accompany your pizza. Good Pizza can be hard to find in Chiang Mai so come and give this a try. Pizza with a smile, made by good looking Thai boys, what could be better? Even Khun Note has been lending a hand as you can see.

The boys next door at Radchada Garden Café have announced that, from today, fresh home made Pizza will be available on the menu.

They are doing a 12 inch thin crust pizza with a variety of toppings cooked to order in a sizzling hot, flame powered, pizza oven. Prices start from only 150 Bt.

Rachada’s resident pizza boy and pizzaiolo extraordinaire is Khun Jeeb. He will be known to many here from Guitar Man where he has made many a fine pizza over the past few years. With a change of ownership at Guitar Man Jeeb has moved on to new things; come try his Pizza at Radchada Garden Café.

Pizza is available Tuesday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. Until last orders at 6.30 p.m (2p.m. p.m. on Thursdays). Radchada Garden Café is open everyday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is located in the Santitham area of Chang Puek near to many of Chiang Mai’s gay bars.

As well as Coffee and soft drinks a selection of beers and wines are available to accompany your pizza.

For a quick snack, ready made pizza slices are available too, these are one quarter slice of a full pizza reheated in the pizza oven for an authentic taste. Other snacks available include toasted sandwiches, french fries, fresh croissants and muffins.

Today we are pleased to announce some very exciting news. Tomorrow morning (Saturday 19th November) our friends at Radchada Café will be opening their new venture to the public for the first time from 10:00 a.m.

Radchada Garden Café is a new boutique café situated in a beautiful garden in the grounds of a true Lanna Style Teak Wood Mansion. Open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 7 p.m. for coffee teas, snacks and drinks.

Khun Mai, owner of the new venture said, “We’ve been planning this for sometime now; it’s been an effort to get everything ready but now we are ready to go I’m really looking forward to meeting many new customers and old friends in our fantastic and somewhat unique location”. He added, “Chiang Mai has plenty of nightlife already so our objective has been to create somewhere with a relaxing atmosphere where people can come and enjoy in the daytime and early evening”. “Whether you want breakfast, lunch, or just to have a coffee and read the newspaper, or browse the internet, we want you to feel comfortable here”.

Radchada’s patriarch, Khun Note, commented, “it’s fantastic to see such a beautiful reincarnation of Radchada, Mai has done a great job getting this place ready and I can’t wait to see many of you again”. We understand Radchada will be initially open for tea, coffee drinks and snacks but will be adding other items to the menu in the coming weeks including Pizzas, Pasta dishes, Sandwiches and Breakfast. There will also be an early evening garden cocktail hour and some other novelties too.

Although not a specifically gay venue, Radchada Garden Café and welcomes everyone except homophobes, it is very gay friendly and has several gay staff. The guys hope it will prove to be a popular place for Chiang Mai’s gay gentlemen of leisure to spend peaceful afternoons.

New Orleans food at Soho Bar

Shauna and Krathai from Soho Bar have announced their newest venture, the Soho Restaurant, offering New Orleans Cuisine will be open from from noon until 7: PM starting tomorrow (Saturday 8 October). Since taking over Soho in August, Shauna and Krathai have been making a number of changes of which this is the latest, and biggest.

The menu includes: Fried Seafood Platter, Chicken Fricassee, Red Beans And Rice, Braised pork roast, Seafood Gumbo and Southern Fried Pork Chops all freshly cooked to order in an authentic New Orleans style. it sounds like a great new food option for this part of town, go along and give it a try. We wish them well with this new addition.
